Financial Strategy Department Overview: Commercial Investments: The Commercial Investments Team is responsible for underwriting all organic development opportunities at Vantage, with an emphasis on land acquisitions for Vantage’s North America platform, leasing opportunities with hyperscale customers, and strategic commercial partnerships. The Team acts as the “deal desk” for all commercial partnerships, including third-parties and hyperscale customers, and is responsible for deriving commercial terms and structures to maximize strategic growth for the Company and investment returns to Vantage’s investors. Corporate Development: The Corporate Development team at Vantage is responsible for the company’s value creation strategy through initiatives including sourcing and executing acquisitions, raising new equity capital, and leading organic investments in new markets and regions including via joint ventures or partnerships. The Corporate Development team collaborates with our leadership and operating teams to drive the evaluation and execution of strategic investment initiatives. Capital Markets: The Capital Markets team at Vantage manages the organization's interactions with banks and debt investors. Capital Markets key activities are issuing new construction debt and stabilized financing, refinancing existing debt, responsible for all hedging activity, and managing company liquidity. Position Overview This role will be based on-site at our Denver, CO location. Vantage is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Strategy Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across three critical areas of our business: Commercial Management, Corporate Development, and Capital Markets. As a Financial Strategy Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in analyzing market trends, evaluating strategic initiatives, and supporting financial decision-making processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to key projects, and develop a comprehensive understanding of how these interconnected departments drive business success.

Requirements

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a 4-year university pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or similar field.
  • Experience: Rising Senior status
  • Minimum GPA requirement – 3.5
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and interpret qualitative and quantitative information effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent teamwork ability and can-do approach; a healthy disregard for the impossible!
  • Self-motivated and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
  • Travel required is expected to be up to 5% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Internship experience preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with financial tools and software (e.g. Bloomberg, financial modeling software, or ERP systems) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Commercial Investments Support Assist in analyzing market trends, customer data, and sales performance to inform strategic decisions.
  • Help in developing pricing strategies, sales forecasting, and revenue optimization models.
  • Contribute to preparing reports and presentations for internal stakeholders regarding commercial performance.
  • Corporate Development Support Conduct research on potential mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and other corporate growth opportunities.
  • Assist in building financial models to evaluate investment opportunities and potential returns.
  • Support due diligence processes by gathering and analyzing financial and market data.
  • Collaborate with senior team members on strategic planning and growth initiatives.
  • Capital Markets Support Assist in analyzing debt capital markets, identifying key trends, and supporting debt capital-raising efforts.
  • Contribute to preparing materials for investor presentations, including financial performance reports and market insights.
  • Conduct research on market conditions, economic indicators, and industry benchmarks to support capital market activities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with all departments to ensure alignment between financial strategies and business objectives.
  • Additional Duties Handle additional duties as assigned by management.
