About The Position

To perform a full range of advanced professional financial duties requiring the application of accounting and/or auditing theory, principles, and practices; perform related work.

Requirements

• Accounting principles and practices
• Developing and preparing financial documents
• Using a personal computer to develop, analyze, and report on financial data
• Analyzing financial activities and recommending management action

Nice To Haves

• Experience developing and preparing financial documents
• Analyzing large quantities of financial data and recommending management action
• Developing a budget and preparing financial reports
• Knowledge of state budget processes preferred
• Troubleshooting automated system changes, testing automated system changes, including using data extraction tools and methods for analysis, sampling, testing and reporting
• Documenting business processes
• Highly proficient in Excel with experience in advanced Excel functions and data manipulation/analysis (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, conditional formatting, pivot tables, etc.)

• Annual budget preparation
• Budget distribution
• Financial management support
• Preparing expenditure adjustments
• Analyzing and researching G/L account activity
• Preparing G/L reconciliations
• Updating monthly budget to actual reports
• Ensuring sufficient budget for HR compensation requests
• Updating and maintaining our FTE report
• Oversight of federal grants and reporting
