This position provides quality service to internal and external members both in-person and over the telephone. The role encompasses duties typically assigned to both teller and member services areas, adhering to established policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include actively promoting credit union products and services, completing outbound calls, and making referrals to generate new services for members. The representative is also responsible for daily workstation preparation, maintaining office supplies, processing mail, and training/mentoring other employees as directed. Operational duties involve balancing daily transactions, troubleshooting department equipment, reporting errors, and performing office closing procedures. A functional knowledge of online systems and departmental software is essential. The role involves extensive member service tasks such as opening/closing various accounts, processing credit/debit card requests, handling stop payments, managing safe deposit applications, processing electronic service requests, and assisting with loan applications and claims. Additionally, the representative will perform teller duties including cash drawer balancing, processing deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and issuing various financial instruments. The position requires maintaining thorough knowledge of credit union policies, procedures, lending policies, and relevant regulations, while ensuring prompt and courteous service and contributing to a team environment.
