About The Position

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is seeking an experienced and detail oriented Financial Services Manager to join our team, in Gainesville, FL . This position oversees core financial operations, manages staff, and ensures compliance with organizational policies and deadlines. It provides leadership across accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, payroll, and revenue cycle functions, driving accuracy and efficiency while supporting the organization’s mission to provide a safe blood supply and exceptional service to the community. The Financial Services Manager will work closely with leadership to analyze financial data, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or financial experience required
  • At least 2 years of direct supervisory experience required
  • Strong Knowledge of Accounting Principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet LifeSouth driving requirements
  • Reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science in Accounting or related subject matter preferred
  • Experience in healthcare, financial management, or nonprofit environment preferred
  • CPA or CMA preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and revenue cycle functions
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate financial services staff
  • Ensure all accounting and reporting deadlines are met and maintain compliance with policies and procedures
  • Manage fixed assets including reporting and monthly depreciation
  • Oversee company credit card program, including issuance, limits, and compliance monitoring
  • Coordinate banking activities including wire transfers, ACH transactions, and account management
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze trends, and implement process improvements
  • Oversee billing, collections, and reconciliation activities
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Support audits, year-end processes, and special projects
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Collaborate with internal departments on financial processes, system implementations, and improvements
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including 1099 processing and unclaimed property reporting
