About The Position

As a Financial Professional, you will apply financial expertise to support strategic goals and optimal fiscal health. Requirements

• 1 year experience as a FSA I or equivalent experience working in an outpatient/physician office environment including financial counseling, insurance verification and authorization.

Responsibilities

• Maintains current knowledge of and adheres to payer and regulatory guidelines for medical insurance claims processing and reimbursement.
• Interviews patients to obtain, clarify and verify all demographic and insurance information and determines status of financial clearance, as needed.
• Identifies and obtains required pre-certifications, authorizations, and/or referrals and enter all information in the appropriate registration and billing systems
• Performs verification of benefits, either electronically or by telephone, according to PHC procedures and guidelines
• Analyzes patients ability to meet financial obligations and sets up appropriate payment plans.
• Identify insurance guidelines and communicate necessary steps to clinic staff, including physician
