About The Position

The Financial Services Administrator is responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day administration and operation of the GFS Profit Sharing Plan, GFS Canada Group Retirement Program, and the GFS Company Note program. Work in partnership with HR, Payroll, and third party recordkeeping administrators to ensure a high level of service to the participants of the retirement plans and Company Note Program.

Requirements

  • Three years of relevant finance, accounting, retirement plan relevant experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related required.
  • Detail oriented and accurate.
  • Effective written, oral communication and interpersonal skills needed to represent the department.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of GFS Profit Sharing Plan and GFS Canada Group Retirement Program.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, accounting, presentation, email and internet software application

Responsibilities

  • Responds to a wide variety of employee questions and concerns involving the GFS Profit Sharing Plan, GFS Canada Retirement Program and Company Note Program.
  • Manages and resolves escalated plan participant issues effectively and promptly.
  • Maintains awareness of regulatory issues and consults with ERISA counsel or plan consultants to implement necessary changes.
  • Administers daily functions of the retirement plans.
  • Manages activities of the third party administrators of the profit sharing/retirement plans and evaluates their performance.
  • Makes changes to vendor service agreements as required.
  • Evaluates procedures and updates and documents regular controls and practices to maintain accuracy and efficiency of processes.
  • In consultation with fiduciary consultants and outside counsel, coordinates and recommends changes to the Plans
  • Assists in development of materials and presentations for the quarterly Retirement Plan Committee meetings.
  • Calculates annual Profit Sharing contribution and GFS Canada Retirement Program contribution.
  • Develops, updates and coordinates the informational and educational materials with the US and Canadian retirement plans.
  • Work to inspire and motivate employees to save for a financially secure retirement.
  • Develops annual Education Plan
  • Oversees and ensures GFS Profit Sharing Plan and GFS Canada Retirement Program data audits for compliance with Plan/Governmental requirements.
  • Responds to audit findings by evaluating findings and developing and implementing changes to processes and programs.
  • Oversees external audit of Plan financial statement and filing of tax documents.
  • Coordinate Plan document changes with ERISA counsel and DPSP/RRSP consultants.
  • Develops and implements changes to programs and processes.
  • Administer various confidential compensation plans and programs including legacy programs.
  • Ensures that information and records are maintained in strictest confidence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
