We are seeking a Financial Reporting Intern to join our team and contribute to a key software implementation project . This intern will play an important role in testing and validating new financial reporting software to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our financial processes. As a Financial Reporting Intern, you will work closely with OBM staff on projects that strengthen compliance and financial reporting. Interns will work between 24-32 hours per week in our downtown Columbus office. If selected, the primary workdays can be mutually agreed upon; we can work with your schedule. Requirements

  • Near completion of an undergraduate degree or currently enrolled in a graduate program (e.g., Master of Public Administration).
  • Areas of study\: Accounting or Public Administration (auditing coursework is helpful).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ability to work with complex datasets.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting principles or relevant experience.
  • Technical aptitude and basic project management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Auditing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with testing and troubleshooting new financial reporting software.
  • Analyzing and validating complex financial data for accuracy.
  • Collaborating with project teams to support implementation milestones.
  • Documenting findings and providing recommendations for improvements.
