About The Position
We are looking for an experienced financial reporting consultant for our leading life insurance client on a project basis. This role is hybrid on-site in Kansas City, KS 3 days a week and is expected to complete in 12 months.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- 5+ years of relevant investment accounting experience in the insurance industry
- Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Workeva & Peoplesoft is preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide GAAP and Statutory financial reporting and analysis
- Report monthly/quarterly financial results, including income statements, balance sheets, and earnings by source, in a timely and accurate manner
- Support the monthly and quarterly close process by reconciling loss-related general ledger accounts and preparing supporting schedules
