About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Correctional Services Manager/Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director, supervise and direct the work of the positions working in the division's (DCC's) Business Office. Manage the Division's accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), purchasing, fleet, uniforms and asset tracking activities. Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of DCC budgets, revenue and spending plans. Advise the OMB director and administrator's office on the best courses of action to maintain and improve current operations and help identify, develop, fund and implement future DCC priorities.

Requirements

  • Performing purchasing activities (e.g. requisitions/orders, bids, compliance, budget monitoring, etc.)
  • Performing inventory control activities (e.g. maintaining records, performing audits, reconciling discrepancies, etc.)
  • Managing, leading, and/or overseeing the work of others (e.g. training, advising, reviewing work, etc.)
  • Monitoring and auditing financial transactions to ensure accuracy (e.g. accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Formally supervising the work of other staff (e.g. hiring, performance evaluations, discipline, dismissal, settling grievances, etc.)
  • Performing budget management (e.g. analysis of expenditures, forecast analysis, etc.)
  • Using an ERP or financial system such as PeopleSoft to perform financial and/or purchasing activities.

Responsibilities
