This is a great opportunity to join the LTAMDS (Lower Tier Area & Missile Defense System) team in the LADS (Land & Air Defense Systems) Sub-Business Unit as a Principal Specialist (P3). In this role, you will gain end-to-end exposure to program execution and financial performance, developing the skills and insights needed to progress toward future leadership roles in Business Management. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a strong technical knowledge of finance and program control, strong problem-solving skills and have good communication skills. The candidate should be comfortable working independently and in a team environment and can multitask and work on several different program issues concurrently, in a fast-paced environment. This role is being offered in an onsite capacity and is based on the needs of the business. Onsite work can be done at the Andover, MA location. Relocation assistance is not being offered.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field & 5 years of Finance related experience; OR an Advanced degree and 3 years' Finance related experience
  • Experience with SAP and/or a similar system
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Financial experience in the aerospace/defense industry
  • Experience in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and/or experience in Estimates at Completion (EACs)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with good presentation skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Able to meet critical deadlines and develop and apply solutions and process improvements in a fast-paced changing business environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support Quarterly Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) / monthly Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) development
  • Establish and maintain program logs (Management Reserve, Undistributed Budget, BCRs, etc.)
  • Interface with all levels of management as well as work in a matrix environment (Director, PMs, OSC, Engineering, Finance, etc.)
  • Look at ways to improve current processes/cadences or set new ones
  • Be a strategic partner to the program leadership team, influence at all levels of the organization, and manage staffing
