About The Position

Financial Management Analyst The Opportunity: The right mixture of great ideas and funding can create change. In a complex organization, allocating funding to where it can be most effective can be challenging. That’s why we need you, a financial analyst who can easily navigate the requirements, policies, and regulations that govern funding, to ensure the Department of War’s resources can make the most impact. As a Financial Management Analyst on our team, you’ll provide financial management and programmatic support as part of the Booz Allen Support Team. You’ll work with a fast-paced, multi-disciplined team made up of technical subject matter experts, program and financial analysts, contract administrators, government partners, and government project managers supporting the advancement of a wide range of current state-of-the-art munitions technology areas. Using your knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies, you’ll help your client develop well-formed requirements. Once the funding is in place, you’ll make sure the funding is used efficiently through consistent tracking and communication with the Program Manager, Area leads and managers, and project investigators. Requirements

  • Experience preparing detailed financial spreadsheets to reflect program or project status in areas of government budget initiation, obligation, and awards
  • Experience in financial analysis, tracking, and monitoring of planned and actual expenditures
  • Experience developing senior-level, high-visibility documents and briefings and reporting to senior leadership
  • Ability to integrate into high-tempo, high-visibility work environments
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Finance

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience with budget or financial analysis, preparation, and execution for acquisition programs
  • Experience with technical writing
  • Knowledge of the government financial fiscal year cycle
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to support meetings
  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possession of excellent written communication and documentation skills
