The Financial Head Teller will be responsible for assisting customers (patients, families, vendors, and JHH-JHU-JHHS Staff) with services such as: sales (i.e. parking coupons, lost employee ID) and payments (i.e.TOS collections, balance bill accounts for JHH-JHU services, and departmental/employee reimbursements for inter-affiliate transportation costs). The Financial Head Teller works as a team member and positively accepts change throughout the Health System while establishing relationships at all facilities and be familiar with each institution's computer environment and payer contracts as needed and maintains a professional, courteous, and cooperative demeanor in all communications and interactions with all individuals and organizations with whom they come into contact while acting in the capacity of a Health System employee Take a tour of our campus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnNaPzR-AEE

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree required. Experience beyond the work experience requirement may be substituted for the degree on 2 years of experience for 1 year of education basis i.e. 4 years.
  • 3-5 years progressive experience in banking, auditing, or bookkeeping with emphasis on heavy cash handling, reconciliation, and settlements required.
  • Requires strong knowledge of banking, cash handling controls, inventory control, and reconciliation.
  • Requires knowledge of standard PC applications and spreadsheets

Responsibilities
