About The Position

The Finance Director will act as the CFO’s deputy, overseeing core financial operations, ensuring strong control, compliance and reporting across a fast‑scaling, multi-jurisdictional FinTech environment. This role combines strategic leadership with operational excellence, supporting the CFO in driving financial performance, optimising processes, strengthening governance, and enabling scalable growth. You will lead key finance functions—including financial reporting, regulatory compliance, commercial finance, planning & analysis, and financial operations—and serve as a senior business partner to product, technology, operations, and commercial teams.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • 10+ years post‑qualification experience, with significant exposure to regulated or high‑growth financial services; Big 4/Top 10 backgrounds highly regarded
  • Proven experience leading multi‑entity, multi‑jurisdictional finance operations in a high‑growth environment.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience engaging with external auditors.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence senior stakeholders, and manage complex cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a commercial mindset.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
  • High attention to detail, strong organisational discipline, and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proven track record of process improvement, systems optimisation, and operational scalability.
