The Criminal Investigations Division encompasses all law enforcement and forensic components residing within the Department of Financial Services. This advertisement is for the Bureau of Public Assistance Fraud. This advertisement is for a Financial Crime Investigator I position which is a NON-SWORN position. The mission of the Division of Public Assistance Fraud is to aggressively identify and eliminate fraud, waste, and abuse to safeguard the integrity of taxpayer funded public assistance programs administered by the State of Florida. The Financial Crimes Investigator I is an entry level position that supports this mission by conducting the following investigative activities under the direct supervision of an Investigations Manager. The Financial Crimes Investigator I is an entry level position that will be in training status to ensure the incumbent acquires specific knowledge of investigative techniques; public assistance program policy, and Departmental procedures to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position.
