We are currently seeking a Financial Counselor I (Full-Time, Varies Shift) to join our Patient Access / ED Registration team at the Bert Martin’s Champions for Children Emergency Department & Trauma Center.
In this important role, you will help ensure a smooth, supportive, and transparent financial experience for patients and families by:
• Gathering and accurately entering patient demographic and insurance information
• Verifying insurance benefits and obtaining prior authorizations
• Clearly explaining insurance coverage, co-pays, deductibles, and financial responsibilities
• Obtaining required signatures and documentation
• Coordinating with physicians, payers, and internal departments as needed
• Providing compassionate, professional customer service in a fast-paced emergency environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years in customer service, financial, or business office setting
