Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in billing, bookkeeping, or financial coordination (dental/medical office experience a strong plus).
  • Proficiency with practice management or dental billing software (e.g., Dentrix, EagleSoft, or similar
  • Strong understanding of insurance billing and claims processing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient billing, payments, and account balances
  • Post payments, adjustments, and reconcile daily deposits
  • Submit, track, and follow up on dental insurance claims
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
  • Explain treatment costs, insurance coverage, and payment options to families
  • Respond to patient financial questions in person, by phone, and electronically
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned by management.
