About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Controller will oversee the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and cash management, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information. This role is critical in supporting a complex manufacturing environment, requiring strong understanding of cost accounting, work-in-process (WIP), percentage-of-completion (POC), inventory, job costing, and project-based revenue and margin dynamics. The ideal candidate will possess deep accounting expertise, strong leadership and analytical skills, and proven experience managing and developing accounting teams. Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required.
  • Seven (7) or more years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum of two (2) years in a management or supervisory role.

  • Manufacturing, cost accounting, or project-based accounting experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and oversee accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Lead and manage cash management, including daily cash positioning, short- and long-term cash forecasting, and working capital optimization.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes to support strategic and operational objectives.
  • Oversee accounting processes in a manufacturing environment, including inventory valuation, WIP, POC, cost accounting, and margin analysis.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting deadlines.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights related to production efficiency, material costs, labor utilization, overhead absorption, and project profitability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support audits, banking relationships, and financial reviews as needed.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation across all financial activities.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
