Financial Manager/Comptroller I/II/III Annual Salary: Level I D33A $70,000.00 + Full State Employee Benefits Level II D33B $80,000.00 + Full State Employee Benefits Level III D33C $90,000.00 + Full State Employee Benefits Minimum Qualifications Level is determined based on duties assigned. Level I: Completion of the curriculum requirements for a bachelor's degree in business or public administration, or a closely related field; and five (5) years of experience in professional accounting, or closely related work; including two (2) years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity; OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience. Level II: Completion of the curriculum requirements for a bachelor's degree in business or public administration, or a closely related field; and six (6) years of experience in professional accounting, including three (3) years in a supervisory capacity; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience. Level III: Completion of the curriculum requirements for a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field, and six (6) years of experience in professional accounting, including four (4) years in a supervisory capacity; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience. Job Responsibilities: Developing and managing personnel and operating budget - manages assigned division budget, coordinates with division on personnel and operating budget activities, develop and prepare annual budget work program. Reviewing budget funding requests for merit and authenticity - reviews budget funding request, validates grants awarded and funding sources, and approves budget. Reviewing and approving expenditures and obligations - reviews and approve purchase requisitions and eligible expenditures. Preparing budget analysis reports and budget estimate - reviews budget to actual expenditure report and variance analysis. Ensuring compliance with established budget controls and business processes - assist in establishing and implementing budget controls in accordance to budget policies and state statute aswell as Federal regulatory.
