The Financial Clearance Call Center Representative (FCCCR) is responsible for handling exception-based pre-registration and registration activities for various hospital services including inpatient admissions, outpatient, ED, and clinic visits. This role involves resolving missing registration items through work queues, in-basket messages, and phone calls. Additionally, the FCCCR may handle authorization form recovery activities and resolve coverage and guarantor-related issues. The position involves receiving call transfers from Appointment Schedulers and assisting patients with financial questions such as charge estimates, preservice payments (co-pays, co-insurance, deposits), and insurance information. The FCCCR will also make outbound calls to patients, providers, insurance companies, and other departments to address patient financial questions before or after appointments. Adherence to quality assurance guidelines and established productivity standards is required.
