About The Position

The Financial Assistant supports the Financial Advisors by ensuring effective communication and coordination of member's needs. This role is essential in facilitating smooth day-to-day operations, by providing reliable administrative and operational support. The Financial Assistant helps drive efficiency and supports the delivery of high-quality financial services. Pay range for this hourly position is $26.02 - $30.42/hr with a progressive benefits package.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Business or related field or 3 years industry experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively and collaborate with management and team members.
  • Strong customer service orientation, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work within deadlines.
  • Proactive, dependable, flexible, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively across functional teams to drive critical projects to completion.
  • Well-developed administrative, organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and document interpretation skills to support decision-making and compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable learning new software applications.
  • Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and a member/client-focused mindset aligned with credit union values.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and development, including staying informed on industry trends and regulatory changes.
  • Must be able to pass a thorough background and credit check, as well as fingerprint approval process as required by FINRA and LPL Financial.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in conducting GreenState's mission and vision.
  • Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times.
  • Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensures confidentiality of member information.
  • Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Assists with scheduling member/client appointments, preparing paperwork, and supporting the new member/client onboarding process to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience.
  • Manages incoming calls and messages, providing timely and professional responses to member/client inquiries.
  • Maintains accurate member/client information within financial systems, ensuring data integrity for reporting and compliance purposes.
  • Coordinates submission and review of marketing materials with Compliance and Marketing teams, ensuring all communications meet regulatory standards.
  • Supports planning and execution of marketing events aimed at engaging members and promoting financial products and services.
  • Prepares comprehensive reports for Financial Advisors using data from various sources to inform strategic decisions and improve member/client service.
  • Collaborates with internal teams across GreenState Credit Union to enhance cross-servicing opportunities with the membership.
  • Participates in financial education initiatives and member/client outreach programs to promote financial literacy and support community well-being.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
