About The Position

ERT is seeking a full-time Funds Management Specialist to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), by providing financial management, budget tracking, and financial reporting support. The position supports divisional financial operations by assisting with planning, monitoring, and reporting on program budgets, expenditures, and financial documentation in accordance with federal financial management policies and procedures. Will assist with maintaining financial accountability and transparency across multiple programs and funding sources by supporting the collection, organization, analysis, and verification of financial information. Responsibilities include assisting with divisional budget tracking, monitoring execution of funds, maintaining financial documentation, and supporting reconciliation and reporting activities to ensure alignment with approved spending plans and government regulations.

Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience supporting financial management, budgeting, or financial data management activities. Additional relevant experience may substitute for education requirements where appropriate.
  • Knowledge of federal fiscal policies, financial management practices, and budget data management systems
  • Experience working with financial tracking tools and data management platforms such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to review financial information, identify discrepancies, and support corrective actions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to varied audiences.
  • Flexible attitude and strong attention to detail when working with financial data and documentation.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and able to pass a background investigation to obtain a security badge to access applicable government information and systems.
