About The Position

Rocket55 is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support our finance team during a period of rapid growth and transformation. This position will play a hands-on role in delivering accurate, timely financial data and insights that enable decision-making across the organization. This role does not have direct reports and is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will manage day-to-day financial reporting, analyze performance trends, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and help improve the visibility of key financial metrics for senior leadership. We are looking for a candidate who is organized, curious, and eager to grow within the finance function of a dynamic marketing agency. Confidentiality, accuracy, and strong time management are essential. Job duties may evolve based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or accounting (experience in a marketing agency or fast-paced environment preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, especially with journal entry preparation and data entry in QuickBooks Online
  • Ability to interpret and communicate financial data clearly
  • Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports, dashboards, and KPI trackers for review by the CFO and leadership team.
  • Conduct variance analyses on revenue, expenses, and profitability to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support the month-end close process by reconciling accounts and validating data accuracy.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic reforecasts.
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate performance, cash flow, and operational scenarios.
  • Track departmental spending versus budget and alert leaders to variances.
  • Perform high-volume data entry and journal entry management in QuickBooks Online to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain and update financial databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with department leads to collect and interpret data for financial analysis.
  • Help identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and processes.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data within QuickBooks Online.
  • Follow established accounting procedures and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Provide support during audits and tax preparation as needed.
