Aspire Software is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our growing Finance team in Canada! Aspire Software acquires, builds, and scales vertical-market software businesses worldwide. The Financial Analyst is responsible for managing transactional accounting processes, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), and maintaining financial records. This role plays a key part in ensuring the timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations while supporting financial reporting and compliance requirements. Requirements

At least 2-3 years at the financial analyst level with experience in payroll posting and AP processing
At least a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a similar related discipline is essential
Strong knowledge of AP/AR processes, reconciliations, and financial record-keeping
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for vendor and customer interactions
Excellent organizational skills and time management
Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is essential
Legally authorized to work in Canada

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of Oracle NetSuite ERP (or similar) is considered an asset
Fast learner and adaptable – time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP) Management: Process vendor invoices, ensure accuracy, and match with purchase orders
Manage payment schedules, process payments (wire transfers), and resolve discrepancies
Maintain relationships with vendors and contractors
Accounts Receivable (AR) Management: Working with the AR team to be the bridge between finance and operations
Based on hardware invoices issued to customers, determine COGS to be booked
Assist with the review and reporting of A/R Aging as required
Bank Reconciliation and Expense Management: Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate posting of transactions
Reconcile credit card expenses, employee reimbursements, and travel expense reports
General Accounting and Compliance: Maintain accurate records in NetSuite (ERP System), ensuring all transactions are properly documented
Including revenue transfer agreements, payroll, expenses and credit card allocations
Assist in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and audit requirements
Perform variance analysis of actual results vs financial plans and create the monthly reporting packs
Participate in the completion of audit engagements and compliance requests
