About The Position

Contribute to the strategic direction of the business and support impactful mission outcomes as a Financial Analyst at GDIT. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT: As a Financial Analyst, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission. Responsible for various financial functions such as cost accounting, revenue recognition, subcontractor financial management, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, EAC development, AP invoice and AR billing reviews, purchase requisition reviews, proposal pricing support, CDRL support, other program requested ad hoc reporting and other analysis as required. Interface with program management staff and other business leaders on a regular basis. Review and understand contract terms and support job setup and modifications in financial database (Oracle). Collects and reviews financial data from various sources and financial systems. Creates, maintains, and updates financial databases and spreadsheets, and generates various financial reports as required. Analyzes assigned contracts’ projected staff hours, contract totals, revenues, and profit totals. Maintains detailed records and documentation. Supports assigned managers in managing, tracking, monitoring, and reporting financial data as requested. Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as other government regulations. Maintains current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science plus 2 years of financial analysis experience, OR Associate Degree plus 4 years financial analysis experience, OR High School Diploma plus 6 years financial analysis experience
  • Technical skills: Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel (Pivot Tables, vlookups, etc)
  • US Person required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with project management including budget development, project planning, or supporting financial activities
  • Experience within Federal Contracting and cost/revenue accounting environment for multiple contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF)
  • Familiarity/experience with Oracle
  • Capability of providing deliverables with excellence and a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities
  • Comfortable working with business clients, facilitating discussions, building consensus, assimilating processes and building relationships
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
