About The Position

We're looking for an organized and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our growing, distributed team at Coforma. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you’ll help provide financial insights by analyzing complex data, developing comprehensive financial models, and preparing detailed reports to support key business decisions including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning. You’ll work closely with your counterparts on the Finance Team, will provide assistance and support during month end activities, and will act as a backup for FP&A/Project Controls as needed. You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, and assist the Leadership Team by translating financial data into actionable insights. An offer will be made at one of the following tiers: Tier 1 - $90,525.00: Meets minimum qualification and experience requirements. Will need additional guidance and training beyond onboarding to perform key responsibilities of the role. Tier 2 - $109,918.26: Experienced and fully competent. Will be able to independently perform key responsibilities of the role once onboarding is completed. To honor our company-wide equitable pay system, the posted salary range and corresponding tier salaries are non-negotiable. This is a US-based remote position open to applicants in the states listed below. Some travel may be required. To ensure we remain compliant with all state, county, and local employment and tax regulations, applicants must currently reside in one of the following states to be considered for employment with Coforma. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a Financial Analyst, FP&A Analyst / Specialist, or similar role
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Power BI, Excel, and Unanet
  • Experience using the Google suite of products (Gmail, Google Calendar, etc.), Slack, Zoom, and Jira (or a similar ticketing system)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (whether written, verbally, or through assistive technologies/aids) with exceptional follow-up and organization skills
  • Strong attention to detail, intermediate to advanced level of knowledge and understanding of financial statements and key business metrics, and ability to analyze and interpret financial data to highlight gaps and areas of opportunity
  • Full-time resident of the contiguous United States (must be legally authorized to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship)

Responsibilities

  • Financial Forecasting: ssist with the budget and forecasting process. Develop and update monthly, quarterly, and long-range forecasts to provide the Leadership Team with a roadmap of future financial position and profitability.
  • Variance Analysis and Reporting: Gather, consolidate, and reconcile financial data from multiple sources. Identify trends, patterns, and business performance. Analyze “the why” behind fluctuations and/or variances and present these insights to the Finance, Delivery, and Executive Teams.
  • Month-End Close Support: Perform balance sheet reconciliations and post journal entries (accruals and deferrals) to ensure the ledger is accurate.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure timely project billing and Accounts Payable (AP) to verify vendor costs against project budgets.
  • Project Performance Tracking: Monitor project budgets versus actual spend (BvA) to identify variances and manage the Estimate at Completion (EAC).
  • Reporting and Communication: Develop and deliver comprehensive financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and executive leadership, highlighting key performance metrics and actionable insights. Clearly communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance: Ensure all project and accounting activities align with company policies and standard accounting principals such as GAAP.
