About The Position

Foodbuy, the food service industry’s leading Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), is seeking a Financial Analyst to support our continued growth. This hybrid role is based in Charlotte, NC.Responsibilities:The Financial Analyst is responsible for optimizing cash collections, minimizing bad‑debt risk, and strengthening relationships within an assigned portfolio of suppliers and distributors. Key responsibilities include:

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration; Finance or Accounting emphasis preferred.
3+ years of related business experience.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Detail‑oriented with excellent follow-up.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros). Access experience is a plus.
SAP experience preferred.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to work across all organizational levels.
Solid planning and time‑management skills with a track record of meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

Monitor past‑due accounts and take timely action to resolve delinquencies.
Submit weekly cash applications and bi‑monthly billing adjustments to maintain accurate A/R aging.
Identify and investigate invoice discrepancies promptly.
Serve as the primary contact for financial matters related to A/R aging for assigned accounts.
Provide management with updates on risks, trends, and recommended actions.
Influence customer payment behavior through strong relationship‑building and cross-functional collaboration.
Analyze payment patterns and contract terms to identify opportunities to improve cash flow.
Support special projects as assigned.
