About The Position

The Data Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing financial and operational data to support strategic decision-making across the Bank. This role administers the Bank’s profitability reporting systems, develops key performance metrics, and produces analytical reports to support management, regulatory reporting, and business planning. While housed within Accounting/finance, this position supports multiple departments by providing reliable data analysis, dashboards, and performance reporting.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, data analytics, banking operations, or reporting.
Strong data analysis and financial modeling skills
Advanced Excel skills
Analytical and problem-solving ability
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and support cross-department needs

Nice To Haves

Experience with banking data systems or profitability systems preferred.
Experience with bank reporting systems (ProfitStars, JHA, or similar) preferred
Experience with data visualization or dashboard tools preferred

Responsibilities

Maintain and administer the Bank’s ProfitStars reporting and profitability system.
Develop and maintain profitability models for products, services, and customer segments.
Build and maintain cost center profitability analysis for business units and departments.
Support the preparation and analysis of financial performance reports for management and Board reporting.
Develop and maintain data reports, dashboards, and analytical tools for management.
Establish and maintain a central repository of key data, ratios, and performance metrics (KPIs) used across the Bank.
Prepare recurring and ad hoc analytical reports for Accounting, Finance, and other departments.
Assist department managers and senior leadership in interpreting analytical results and identifying trends.
Coordinate with IT and Accounting to ensure data accuracy and integrity within core banking and reporting systems (e.g., JHA SilverLake, ProfitStars).
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of data reporting tools and automated processes.
Support the development of automated reporting and management dashboards.
Assist Accounting and Finance in budgeting and forecasting analysis.
Provide data analysis support for strategic planning and performance monitoring.
Assist departments with performance measurement and operational analysis.
Prepare data reports and documentation as needed to support internal audits, external auditors, and regulatory examinations.
Ensure reports and analytical outputs maintain data integrity and regulatory compliance standards.
