Requirements

  • About 0-2 years' Financial Analysis experience is preferred.
  • Strong math and analytical skills required.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel.
  • Organized and Detailed.
  • Comfortable reading and understanding data.
  • Enjoys critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Writing Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret real estate leases, contracts, loan agreements, partnership agreements, professional journals and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, and business correspondence, effectively present information and respond to questions from Company’s Management.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to calculate and explain complex deal structures, distribution waterfalls, create forecasted cash flows and valuation models, calculate internal rates of return, equity multiples etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Multi-family and/ or Senior Housing underwriting preferred
  • Experience with Commercial Real Estate Finance/Analysis is preferred (Retail, Hotel, Multifamily and Office experience preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and adjust business models with the Senior Asset Manager based on real-time performance and market data.
  • Analyze and conceptualize occupancy trends, leasing velocity, and pricing strategy; recommend and implement unit pricing adjustments based on market conditions and demand.
  • Review portfolio and asset operating expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and identify variances from expectations.
  • Analysis and interaction with property managers, leasing agents, joint venture partners, and client representatives.
  • Assist with annual budgeting and long-term strategic planning.
  • Conduct competitive market research and analyze supply/demand dynamics
  • Assist with development modeling and forecasting for proposed developments.
