About The Position

The Financial Analyst position is responsible for planning, monitoring, and evaluating the company’s financial performance under the guidance of the Director of Finance. The position will lead budgeting and forecasting activities, manage monthly performance metrics, and provide data and analysis to help the organization make well-informed decisions. The role will continually improve the consistency and quality of reporting to ensure accuracy and accountability of financial planning. The position will also perform ad hoc analyses of financial statements and business reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and knowledge of entire Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate accounting and financial data
  • Knowledge of accounting software and automated financial and accounting reporting systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data appropriately
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Five Years Accounting/Financial Analysis Experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Experience working with large datasets and complex data structures
  • Experience presenting findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proof of motor vehicle insurance
  • Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work, including transporting individuals
  • No major violations in the past three years.
  • No more than two moving violations in the past three years
  • Ability to meet and maintain agency driving requirements and operate agency vehicles
  • Drivers must upload proof of ongoing auto insurance every 6 months into Paycom/Relias.

  • Experience using Sage Intacct accounting software
  • Federal and State grant/contract experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage budget calendar, software and processes for all contracts and grants
  • Lead budget software development through following webinar updates and trends
  • Organize budget analytics and assist departments with annual budget and reforecasting activities, including evaluating the needs of each department long term
  • Develop internal financial reporting that provides leadership with insight into trends, operational results, and growth drivers
  • Provide financial support including high-level analysis and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making
  • Develop new processes and tools to improve financial planning & analysis platform
  • Analyze client, provider, and employee metrics to support financial analysis
  • Assist with the creation of reports and PowerPoint slides for monthly Operations Review presentations
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc schedules and reports for internal and external use
  • Perform other duties assigned.
