About The Position

Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union is currently searching for an experienced and talented IT Technical Business Analyst to join our amazing IT Solutions Analysis team! The IT Technical Business Analyst will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule (remote/onsite) after a period of training (time frame may vary). Training will take place at the RBFCU Administrative Service Center: 1 Ikea-RBFCU Pkwy, Live Oak, Texas 78233. All applicants must reside within the state of Texas and have the capability of performing all of the work from their home in Texas. To successfully work from home, employees must have access to a minimum internet connection as noted by RBFCU. Must have a reliable home internet provider and the ability to hard wire a connection directly to modem (Ethernet cable provided). Must be able to provide a workspaces at home that is safe, suitable for work, and within a distraction free environment. Working under the immediate supervision of the IT Solutions Analysis Manager, the IT Technical Business Analyst maintains a close relationship with the business analysts and other IT departments to determine technical specifications, technical design and assist in determining the technical direction of proposed solutions. Also develops data analysis queries needed to support production changes and automation. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Maintain relationships with core processing vendor, support teams and business analysts Provide technical guidance and specifications in evaluating applications systems or evaluating requests for custom development in partnership with internal IT teams Serve as a technical resource to internal team members and cross functional third party partners on complex design/code reviews Develop scripts needed to support production changes, automation enhancements, and data analysis related to project cost/benefit and viability investigations Pro-actively identify and seek opportunities to implement system enhancements to improve alignment with enterprise technology standards Create technical diagrams, process maps, and procedure documentation Monitor vendor communications for information regarding upcoming system releases, updates, and fixes to assess the technical impact to assigned business unit Participate in design review meetings to ensure design will result in robust, reliable applications in alignment with organizational goals Research and assist in test plan design for requested system changes to product configuration, user permissions, and system processing variables Maintain required technical documentation of project solution design, approvals and implementations All other duties as assigned (note: essential functions and responsibilities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice)

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in business or information systems
  • Minimum of one year experience in a Systems Analyst or a minimum of three years in Business Analyst or Application Support role
  • Minimum of two years’ experience with writing SQL queries
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a cross-functional or specialty project team environment
  • Minimum of three years’ experience with Fiserv DNA Core Software Platform in a technical capacity
  • Experience with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Project Management and Agile/Scrum methodology is required
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, able to break down complex problems quickly
  • Able to meet and set deadlines with changing priorities
  • Strong communication & presentation skills, able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Proficient with SQL Developer tools
  • Foundational understanding of PL/SQL
  • Intermediate understanding of relational databases, SQL, and Object-Oriented Principles

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
