Financial Analyst
About The Position
The Financial Analyst will support the university’s financial planning, forecasting, and data analysis functions. This role is responsible for preparing financial reports, conducting variance analyses, and developing forecasting models to assist leadership in decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, financial modeling expertise, and a passion for data-driven problem-solving. The Financial Planning & Analysis department is a new unit designed to aid campus departments and leadership in making data driven decisions. This department will help provide the reporting and analysis needed for strategic decision making that is critical for the University’s future success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- At least two (2) years of full time (or part-time equivalent) experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or accounting that included the use of Excel or other financial modeling tools.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in higher education or non-profit financial planning.
- Knowledge of fund accounting and university financial structures.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, SAP) and data visualization tools.
