About The Position

This job posting is for upcoming opportunities. We are seeking a Financial Analyst with extensive expertise with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Threat Reduction and Arms Control (DASW(TRAC)) within the Washington Headquarters Services in Falls Church, VA to join our team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, technical, management, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in staff environment providing financial management and analyses.
  • US Citizen
  • Active Secret (or higher) security clearance.
  • Recent experience with DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes.
  • Experience with DoD financial management information systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Experience supporting OSD-level organizations.
  • Familiarity with threat reduction and arms control programs.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting tools.
  • Experience with budget formulation and execution in DoD environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide time-critical preparation of documentation for Government review and approval related to PPBES including Program Objectives Memorandum (POM), President's Budget (PB) Request, and Budget Estimate Submission (BES).
  • Manage and maintain oversight of committed, obligated, and expended funds, including monthly reporting to ODASD(TRAC) Government personnel.
  • Provide monthly execution reports for appropriated funds with comparison of OSD goals.
  • Maintain and update funding profiles for various budget submission papers and assist in development of appropriate program/budget documentation to support major program/budget issues.
  • Assess ratings and prepare recommended responses on status of cost, schedule, performance, management, interoperability, and production indicators.
  • Assist in arrangement and provide meeting support for Strategic Governance Reviews, POM build process, acquisition reviews, and other related programmatic meetings.
  • Review and assess current Congressional language and budget marks pertaining to each mission area and determine impact to program or mission area.
