Learn more at www.coopersurgical.com. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Analyst with experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or related finance disciplines. In this role, you will be instrumental by informing supply chain decisions through insightful financial analysis and data-driven recommendations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams-including supply chain, operations, and finance-to drive cost-effective initiatives and support the company's overall financial performance.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and utilizing tools such as Excel, financial software, and data visualization platforms.
  • Experience with ERP Systems (i.e. Microsoft D365, SAP, JDE, Oracle or similar), specifically with navigating reports and volumes of data to consolidate and analyze.
  • Foundational understanding of manufacturing processes, procurement strategies, and material cost analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, draw meaningful conclusions, and communicate insights effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong planning and organization skills allowing the ability to work under pressure to drive an adherence to deadlines with results.
  • Problem solving: Disciplined approach to identifying problems and providing solutions.
  • Possess a continuous improvement / change oriented mind-set with a willingness to learn new skills and adapt to new situations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a finance business partner to the global supply chain team.
  • Conduct monthly, in-depth financial analysis of supply chain activities, including material cost trends, pricing dynamics, supplier performance, working capital trends as it pertains to payment terms as well as make-vs-buy evaluations.
  • Build and maintain financial models to assess the impact of procurement strategies, including purchase price variances, inflation, productivity, and volume changes.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes for supply chain operations.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and finance teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize processes, and improve procurement efficiency.
  • Leverage market trends, industry benchmarks, and economic indicators to provide strategic financial recommendations for procurement decisions.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing material procurement, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports and insights to senior leadership, highlighting key trends and actionable recommendations.
  • Oversee the annual development, review, and update of global raw material standards.
  • Partner with IT and data teams to enhance data collection, reporting tools, and analytics capabilities for supply chain finance.
  • Support ad hoc projects and analyses as requested by management.
  • Operate within the scope of authority and in alignment with company policies, objectives, and best practices.
