About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst will further the organization’s ability to strategically plan for capital equipment acquired through alternative financial models. The analyst will be responsible for the lease vs buy financial analysis, tracking no-charge medical equipment receipt and disposition, monitoring adherence to commitment requirements, and supporting CMS reporting. The Sr. Financial Analyst will oversee the budgeting and financial activities related to capital equipment across the health system, including total cost of ownership, routine and strategic capital budgets as they relate to health system goals, standards, policies, and procedures. The Sr. Financial Analyst analyzes health system financial data and develops complex reports for forecasting and results analysis. The Sr. Financial Analyst assists in financial studies and analysis regarding projected changes in utilization and consumption, and ensures compliance with department and/or agency regulations and restrictions. This position is a liaison between Supply Chain, Finance, and the Controller’s Office

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Budget processes
  • Knowledge of Corporate finance as it relates to all aspects of health care, which may include the following: Budget analysis for health care programs and projects; Revenue cycle principles, Cost accounting principles; Managed care pricing; Management and development of staff
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field, and five (5) years of experience in finance, preferably in a healthcare setting -or- Master’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field and three (3) years of experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
