Requirements

• Financial Analyst SG7
• Education: Bachelor's Degree, preferred majors include accounting, finance, economics, business administration or engineering.
• Experience: Four (4) or more years of work experience in the disciplines mentioned in the education requirement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Maximo and COGNOS
• Familiarity with contract language and Procurement policies a must

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform vendor contract financial reviews: verify rates, billing periods, quantities, taxes, discounts, holdbacks / retainage and contract line items against Master Contracts, Change Orders and Purchase Orders.
• Perform complex reviews with minimal supervision.
• Analyze and provide recommendations regarding Financial Controls financial review processes.
• Ability to work across all areas of AEP and with external vendors collaboratively.
• Provide regular report outs to management and team to better understand processes.
• Assist in back up duties for various areas of Financial Controls such as, but not limited to, SOX reporting and UVL processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings and revenue enhancement.
