About The Position

Purpose: Conduct and document complex financial analysis projects. Provide functional advice or training to less experienced financial analysts. Location: This position will be located in Harrisburg, PA. This position will have the potential to work from home on a hybrid schedule which includes some days at home and some days in office per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field required.
  • Minimum of three years of related work experience required.
  • OR High School Diploma/GED and five years of related work experience.
  • Microsoft Office spreadsheet application required, and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct complex financial and cost studies to determine the cost effectiveness of business activities, with a strong emphasis on supporting Central PA nursing department leaders through actionable, data‑driven insights.
  • Serve as a key financial partner to operational leadership by recommending budget adjustments, productivity improvements, and other cost‑management strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Provide expert guidance to operational leaders through advising, training, and hands‑on support related to the recent LBP conversion, productivity reporting, and the PPMR process, ensuring consistency and accuracy in financial and operational reporting.
  • Play an integral role in the annual CPA budgeting process, including preparation, analysis, review, and ongoing monitoring of budgets throughout the fiscal year while collaborating closely with nursing leadership and cross‑functional partners to align financial plans with operational priorities.
  • Demonstrate strong relationship‑building skills by working collaboratively across departments, establishing trust with clinical, operational, and administrative stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports for forecasting, trending, productivity monitoring, and results analysis, evaluating historical performance and projecting future financial outcomes with a focus on nursing and clinical operations within Central PA.
  • Analyze and interpret complex financial data and trend analysis to generate clear, actionable insights to support leaders making critical economic and business decisions.
  • Respond effectively to a regular flow of ad‑hoc financial analyses and information requests, often requiring prioritization, independent judgment, and timely delivery.
  • Act as a mentor and resource for Financial Analysts and administrative staff, promoting best practices, financial literacy, and continuous improvement.
  • Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Performs other duties as assigned and performs in accordance with system‑wide competencies and behaviors.
