About The Position

The Financial Analyst Intern will support the asset management team by assisting with financial analysis, research, reporting, and portfolio monitoring. This internship provides hands‑on experience in investment analysis and exposure to real‑world asset management processes. The intern will work closely with senior analysts and portfolio managers to develop analytical skills and gain insight into investment strategies and market dynamics.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in financial markets, investments, and asset management.
  • Basic understanding of financial statements, valuation concepts, and investment principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the role.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or prior internship experience in finance, accounting, or economics.
  • Familiarity with financial tools or platforms (Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with Excel modeling, VBA, or Python is a plus.
  • Interest in portfolio management systems (e.g., Aladdin, SimCorp).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing financial data, trends, and key metrics to evaluate portfolio performance.
  • Help prepare financial reports and presentations for internal teams and senior managers.
  • Support valuation analysis across various asset classes (equities, fixed income, alternatives, etc.).
  • Conduct preliminary research on markets, companies, and investment opportunities.
  • Assist in monitoring market trends, economic indicators, and investment vehicles.
  • Help track portfolio performance, risk metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and annual client materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of investment data, performance results, and market research.
  • Utilize financial tools and software (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg, FactSet—if available) to gather and analyze data.
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects and ad‑hoc analysis.
  • Support compliance and operations teams with documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings and observe client‑facing discussions when appropriate.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
