POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of and guidance from the Manager of Revenue Operations & Business Intelligence, the Financial Analyst II - Reimbursement is responsible for assisting the department management in identifying, establishing, implementing and monitoring business and financial related processes that contribute to the successful operations of BMC. This role will identify areas for reimbursement and revenue cycle improvement through analysis of various data streams with the goal of improved reimbursement from government and commercial payers, denials. This role will also ensure compliance with payer requirements, support revenue cycle operations, collaborate with all service lines across BMC – medical records, revenue integrity, coding/compliance, hospital and professional departments, and modify and maintain policies and procedures as needed. Position: Financial Analyst II - Reimbursement Department: Payment Systems and Reporting Schedule: Full Time ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: Provides direct support and leads the projects designed to reinforce the reimbursement and revenue cycle strategic goals and increase operational efficiencies through analysis & reporting. Responsible for leading many of the large deliverables (recurring reports & analysis) that come out of the Revenue Operations and Business Intelligence department. Serves as an organizational resource for VisiQuate BI Suite. Assists in the proliferation and training of the BI Suite, assists organizational leadership in creation of custom reports, dashboards and reporting documents. Takes a lead in weekly VisiQuate meetings and assists management in making decisions and implementing necessary improvements in custom reporting. Works in collaboration with members throughout the organization to coordinate audit schedules and prepare data for internal and external audits. Acts as liaison to auditors to address questions and additional data requests. Completes monthly reconciliation for EPIC and other data feeds received in VisiQuate. Provides complex Ad Hoc reporting for BMC customers and vendors. Gathers and analyzes data; interprets results using a variety of techniques ranging from data aggregation to complex data mining. Performs other duties as directed or assigned by management. JOB REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance or a related field; and at least 2 years of prior experience in at least one of the following: Healthcare finance and reporting with a strong background in SQL and data analysis EPIC billing system and VisiQuate/or any other Business Intelligence (BI) system with strong skills in data analysis PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (If none, please enter “N/A”): N/A CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED (If none, please enter “N/A”): N/A KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSAs) (If none, please enter “N/A”): Strong analytical skills to evaluate/synthesize processes and large data sets for trend analysis and operations improvement. Strong reporting skills, accuracy and detail-oriented focus. Logical Data Analysis, understanding data relationships is critical for this position. Advanced experience in MS Excel, Access and Power BI. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and problem solving skills. Ability to follow and develop detailed policies and procedures. Ability to analyze data for operational efficiency, auditing and root cause analysis. Advanced MS skills, ability to write SQL queries to extract and analyze large datasets. Ability to test and research data in EPIC and VisiQuate as needed. Familiarity with medical terminology and revenue cycle processes. Compensation Range: $58,000.00- $84,000.00 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
