About The Position

As a member of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, this position is responsible for assisting and maintaining the budget/forecasting and financial reporting system (Axiom) of the bank. Additionally, this position will prepare analysis of financial data for all aspects of the bank, including budgeting and forecasting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3-5 years experience, preferably Budget/Management Reporting system experience in a banking environment.
  • Superb communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the monthly earnings process and financial variance analysis.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and ongoing coordination of the quarterly forecast and budgeting process.
  • Assist in the ongoing evaluation and analysis of operating business units using financial analysis and modeling tools including general ledger research.
  • Assist with the production of monthly, quarterly and year-end management reports including ad hoc reports as requested by management.
  • Assist in the performance and provide backup of the company wide Management Reporting and Budgeting/Forecasting system, including but not limited to: Data integration from multiple sources including the core and warehouse Report Writing User Administration Update system with new releases Maintain system security to the users
  • Support the quarterly rolling forecast and the annual forecast budget
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of the internal reporting structure.
  • Work on activities and projects with others inside and outside of the Finance department; may lead small projects and coordinate resources.
  • The role requires occasional travel for training and team meetings, and willingness to travel periodically, to locations within market as needed.
  • May require work in a Midland office to ensure collaboration and support of internal and external customers.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Other duties as assigned.
