Job Description: Position Summary: The Financial Analyst prepares and delivers financial reports and analysis to the Firm’s expense managers and directors. The Financial Analyst works under general supervision and relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least one (1) years of related work experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Familiarity with financial reporting software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
  • Ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team

Responsibilities

  • Compile financial reports and analyze variances for actual performance vs. budget and prior year
  • Budget and forecast expenditures, including operating and personnel costs, to determine financial resource requirements and anticipated variances
  • Conduct monthly/bi-monthly review calls with budget owners to track progress vs budget and forecast updates
  • Support the maintenance of the Firm’s financial software and reporting tools
  • Develop and deliver automated and ad-hoc reports based on financial analysis reporting specifications
  • Troubleshoot, investigate and resolve inquiries related to financial matters
  • Assist in compiling the monthly operations report
  • Perform ongoing audits of financial system data to ensure data accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standard operating procedures
