About The Position

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges. As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support. In this role, you will be responsible for investigative support across several programs in the Google Customer Solutions space. This includes managing workflows and business data and applying complex modeling techniques. You will contribute to several sales programs and continuously develop your problem-solving skills. You will examine business drivers, and help build the foundational infrastructure for business analytics and research. You will partner with program analysts, regional sales finance, and relevant strategy and sales operations teams. Being part of the team, your contributions will be important to the team's overall success and enabling Small and Medium Businesses (SMB) success globally. If you have a strong grasp of data, a passion for innovation, an ability to solve complex problems and break it down for both technical and non-technical collaborators, and a desire to make a meaningful impact, then this role could be a great fit for you. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Understanding of spreadsheet modeling and business analysis.
  • Understanding of business concepts, with the ability to learn more and apply business insights to decision frameworks and model development.
  • Ability to translate complexity and explain sophisticated analysis and methodologies to both engineering and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent partnering skills and curiosity, with the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Incorporate business insights into incentives models, develop frameworks, driver models and conduct analysis.
  • Build and work with complex datasets effectively.
  • Create and maintain analytical solutions using SQL.
  • Develop analytical and reporting models.
  • Work with business teams to influence program design and explain goal setting and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Work with technical teams to integrate goals and other data sets into critical datasets and systems.
