About The Position

Financial Analyst 3 Develops financial models and performs more complex cost analyses of major importance to the enterprise. Participate in the development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures that solve significant problems, identify business opportunities, or evaluate the feasibility of proposed changes. With broad knowledge of the enterprise, develop and implement automated budget and forecasting processes. Job Duties Assist management in implementing strategies and operational changes by indicating potential financial problems, opportunities, and alternative courses of action. Coordinate with representatives of outside departments to carry out assignments. Participate in corporate short-range and long-range business plans with representatives of other business areas and executive staff. Requires knowledge and understanding of the inter-relationships between business and operating units enterprise wide. Develop approaches to financial assignments; analyze and evaluate data and trends from various sources by applying advanced level financial and computer modeling techniques. Monitor unit's system programs and mainframe processing of jobs. Ensure that systems conform to financial, accounting and government tax requirements. Perform statistical and financial analysis, develop computer models and prepare functional reports for all levels of management by utilizing systems generated reports and outside department input. Create and analyze recurring executive-level reports from information obtained from downloaded mainframe computer reports and outside support staff members. Provide reports in established databases using appropriate financial data manipulation techniques. Produce reports with accuracy, timeliness and without error. Solicit, review, and analyze revenue and expense budget/forecasts packages submitted by all operating units/companies for completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness. Review quality of information and advise Vice Presidents, managers, or budget liaisons of irregularities. Utilize a variety of computer programs in the preparation of financial reports and statistical analysis. Take responsibility for maintaining computer programs used in the department. Perform special reports/projects and related duties as assigned. Uses independent discretion to resolve complicated financial and operational issues that financial staff and/or operations management were unable to resolve.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Finance
  • 4-6 years Financial analysis
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skill desired (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Advanced knowledge of TSO desired (i.e. PSAR, downloads, etc.).
  • Advanced skill with Monarch, Acrobat (PDF format) desired.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - American Institute of Certified Public Accountants

Nice To Haves

  • Moderate familiarity with club systems (SAS, MSAS, SIS, HUON, POS, IAP, LAWSON, CACS and SOS) or similar computer programs highly desired.
