Financial Aid Officer Location: Las Vegas, NV | Campus: On-Site Type: Full-Time | FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hiring Range: $20.80 – $24.96 per hour Your Mission: The Financial Advocate for Future Healthcare Heroes Are you a motivated professional who thrives on helping others achieve their dreams? At Pima Medical Institute, the Student Finance Officer is a key partner in a student's journey. We are looking for a proactive "people-person" who can balance a busy schedule with a warm, supportive approach. In this role, you aren’t just a numbers person; you are a consultant. You will help students navigate federal aid, VA benefits, and payment plans, ensuring they have a clear and confident path to their education. If you have experience in Banking, Medical Billing, or Customer-Facing Underwriting , your ability to simplify complex information will make you a standout candidate. Key Responsibilities Financial Consulting: Meet one-on-one with students to identify their financial needs and explain their eligibility for grants, loans, and benefits. Application Guidance: Help students and families navigate the financial aid process, ensuring all forms are completed accurately and submitted on time. Account Management: Partner with students to establish clear, manageable payment plans and provide ongoing support to keep their accounts in good standing. File Maintenance: Ensure student financial records are organized and meet all necessary professional and federal standards. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with the Admissions department to ensure a smooth, supportive experience for every student from enrollment to their first day of class. Minimum Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED required (Associate degree or higher is a plus). Experience: 1–3 years in a professional, customer-facing environment. Backgrounds in Banking, Medical Billing, or Insurance are highly preferred. Communication: Strong verbal and written skills; you should be comfortable explaining complex topics in a simple, friendly way. Reliability: Ability to maintain unencumbered access to Department of Education (DOE) systems (no federal student loans in default). Requirements
