About The Position

Invest in you, JOIN AGROPUR. We DAIRY you! Agropur is looking for a Financial Accounting Specialist to join its team in St‑Hubert for a temporary 15‑month period. As a Financial Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in the monitoring, accuracy, and analysis of balance sheet items, ensuring the reliability of monthly financial data. This position requires a high level of autonomy, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with multiple internal stakeholders to support financial decision-making and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting option)
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in public accounting or industry, including expertise in consolidation and financial analysis
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle and SAP)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and analysis
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken

Nice To Haves

  • CPA designation considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, analyzing, and presenting monthly balance sheet accounts, including variance analyses and account reconciliations
  • Ensuring the accuracy of accounting entries, managing provisions, and complying with applicable accounting standards
  • Collaborating with finance and operations teams to explain variances and resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Actively participating in the monthly close and supporting optimization efforts to shorten close timelines
  • Performing and maintaining balance sheet account reconciliations, following up on outstanding items, and implementing effective controls
  • Contributing to special projects related to audits, process improvements, and the evolution of financial systems
  • Providing ad hoc support to the finance leadership team for specific analyses or reporting needs
