About The Position

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented accounting professional who is exited to work at the intersection of accounting and finance. This role goes beyond traditional accounting responsibilities and is ideal for someone who enjoys analyzing financial data, understanding business drivers, and turning numbers into insights. The Financial Accountant & Analyst will support core accounting operations while also contributing to financial analysis, and meaningful exposure to decision-making processes.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a combination of both
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, financial principles, and GAAP
• Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data
• Excellent understating of governmental guidelines, tax laws that affect the company
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas; modeling exposure a plus)
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems (Sage Intacct experience a plus)

• Comfort working with large datasets and identifying trends, risks, and anomalies

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and support the month-end close process
• Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts, identifying trends and variances
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain supporting schedules for key accounts, including intercompany transactions
• Assist with sales tax/VAT calculations and filings under supervision
• Ensure accounting records comply with GAAP and internal controls
• Analyze monthly financial results and assist in explaining variances to budget and prior periods
• Support cash flow tracking and assist with short-term cash forecasting
• Assist in preparing internal management reports and KPI dashboards
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by gathering data and performing analysis
• Assist in producing financial data for board-level and executive reporting
• Maintain accurate financial data within the accounting and ERP systems.
• Assist with accounting system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability.
• Support ecommerce accounting and payment processing reconciliations
• Leverage AI-enabled tools and automation technologies (e.g., data analysis tools, workflow automation, reporting enhancements) to streamline reconciliations, reporting, and data validation processes.
• Use analytical tools to identify inefficiencies, anomalies, and opportunities for process optimization
• Maintain organized electronic financial records and documentation to support audit readiness and reporting accuracy
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand business activity and financial impact
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external CPA firm and tax filings
• Assist with compliance-related documentation (e.g., PCI, AML) as needed

Benefits

• This position offers a salary range of $75,000–$90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
