Blockchain.com is looking for a Finance Transformation Manager. We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented individual to lead and drive strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing and automating our finance function. The ideal candidate will be a change agent, possessing a strong understanding of finance processes, technology, and best practices. This role will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement, leading transformation projects, and ensuring the successful implementation of new systems and processes. This person will work within the Finance team, and will assist on various projects aimed at automating finance business processes (including month-end close and other periodic closes, implementation of new finance tools etc.), as well as further improving our data flows and approval processes to ensure the seamless functioning of financial processes. This role requires a hands-on individual who will deep-dive into topics with business stakeholders to gain understanding of key issues and work within the Finance Transformation team to problem-solve and implement actionable solutions leveraging technology to enhance finance processes.

Requirements

  • Professional accounting qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience at a high-growth company.
  • Experience working within a finance function, ideally within Finance Operations and/or as a Finance Manager/Controller (i.e. familiarity with Month end close processes, Annual close process)
  • Experience with implementing and integrating finance technologies (e.g., ERP, FP&A software, RPA).
  • Understanding of internal and external audit processes is a plus
  • Desire to work independently and be a team player as a member of an international organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills, as you will be working within a team and working alongside many key stakeholders in the organisation
  • Strong presentation and communication skills when working with internal teams and external vendors
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and execute quickly and efficiently in a dynamic environment with ever-changing and competing demands

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with NetSuite and FloQast is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Finance team to develop and implement a comprehensive finance transformation roadmap aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and standardization across all finance functions (e.g., accounting, reporting, planning, analysis).
  • Lead the implementation of new technologies and systems to enhance efficiency and data visibility.
  • Implement solutions to automate manual tasks within finance processes, such as automate reconciliations performed as part of the month end close process, including creation of APIs and data scraping functionality.
  • Evaluate and recommend new finance technologies and connectivity between our systems (i.e. connectivity between ERP, financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software, as well as use of robotic process automation (RPA)).
  • Manage project teams, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful execution of transformation initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed process documentation and training materials.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization
