About The Position

Driscoll’s of the America’s (DOTA) Nursery team is rapidly evolving its technology stack to enable a future ready Nursery through digital transformation. The Finance Transformation Lead will lead the Nursery finance department with the integration of new Enterprise Business Applications (EBA). This role will play a critical role in our design and implementation of a new Nursery Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This role will act as a key lead of the finance nursery department and will drive the transition from current end-to-end processes to future state solutions, with a focus on accounting, finance and reporting. The Finance Transformation Lead will collaborate with a team of dedicated peers to transform the DOTA Nursery system through digitalization, with efforts centered on core ERP implementation and integrated boundary systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance / Accounting / Business Administration); MBA or CPA preferred but not required
  • Professional experience on the job: 8+ years working in Finance/Accounting roles
  • Experience in a large complex business environment (desired)
  • Experience with ERP implementations and the ability to quickly learn complex business concepts
  • Areas of experience: o Cost Accounting / Manufacturing o Agriculture / Nursery (desired) o System implementation experience (inventory, manufacturing, etc). o Oracle Cloud Fusion (desired)
  • Certifications and Technical skills: o US GAAP -Advanced o Internal Controls
  • A valid passport and the ability to travel internationally without restrictions
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Lead engagement with key stakeholders in the nursery across multiple geographies to thoroughly document and understand current state processes
  • Develop future-state processes, controls and business requirements by evaluating current-state workflows in partnership with teams across geographies, ensuring cohesive design and broad adoption
  • Define how the future state process transforms existing legacy process finance/accounting)
  • Represent the finance nursery track to the Nursery Leadership and DOTA EBA program teams
  • Partner with other Process Leads to ensure alignment across all tracks in all geographies
  • Work with cross-functional partners to account for dependencies and impacts
  • Champion change management, promoting awareness and engagement throughout the nursery and among all stakeholders during implementation
  • Support and execute the activities of nursery system implementation with selected vendor
  • Domestic and international travel required up to 25%
  • Represents Driscoll’s in an ethical and business-like professional manner in all interactions with growers, co-workers, suppliers, customers and the business community at large
