About The Position

Citizens Financial Group is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to serve as a lead finance business partner within the Operations organization, with primary coverage of the Fraud function and a broader mandate to support enterprise Operations transformation initiatives. This role will partner closely with senior Operations, Fraud, Risk, and Technology leaders to provide strategic financial leadership, rigorous decision support, and value realization oversight across large-scale transformation efforts. The Senior Finance Manager will act as a trusted advisor, helping shape operating model changes, technology investments, and efficiency initiatives that drive sustainable performance improvement across Operations. This role offers high visibility, broad scope, and strategic impact, with the opportunity to help shape and deliver a multi-year Operations transformation agenda that protects customers, improves efficiency, and drives long-term value for the firm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance, FP&A, or strategic finance roles, with deep financial services experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading large-scale operations or enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior Operations, Risk, and Technology leaders and influence outcomes in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial institution operations, including fraud, servicing, or risk functions.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to simplify complex trade-offs.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence, including experience presenting to senior leadership forums.
  • Strong judgment, resilience, and comfort navigating ambiguity and change.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior finance advisor to leaders across the Operations organization, with primary responsibility for Fraud and shared accountability for enterprise Operations initiatives.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and outlook processes for fraud-related expenses, headcount, and loss impacts, while supporting broader Operations financial priorities.
  • Provide strategic insight on operational performance, cost efficiency, fraud losses, and risk trade-offs, linking financial outcomes to customer and business impact.
  • Play a key role in advancing the Operations transformation agenda, partnering with Operations, Fraud, Risk, and Technology leaders to:
  • Evaluate and prioritize transformation initiatives across Operations
  • Support technology modernization, automation, and process redesign efforts
  • Assess operating model, sourcing, and workforce strategy changes
  • Develop and evaluate business cases, investment proposals, and multi-year transformation roadmaps, including scenario analysis and benefits realization tracking.
  • Establish clear financial success metrics and governance frameworks to monitor transformation progress and value delivery.
  • Deliver executive-level reporting and storytelling that clearly articulates financial performance, risks, and transformation outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize spend, improve productivity, and enhance controls across Operations while maintaining strong risk management.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory expectations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop finance talent; promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to Finance leadership priorities, including process standardization, capability building, and enterprise initiatives.
