The Senior Director of Finance at Foundation Health Partners provides strategic financial leadership to support the organization’s mission of delivering high-quality healthcare to the communities we serve. This role is responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting while partnering closely with executive leadership to ensure fiscal stability, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability across the health system. Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Requires a proficiency level typically attained with seven (7) or more years of direct experience, with a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in leadership.
  • Requires ability to prepare detailed operating and financial reports using advanced computer skills. Requires strong interpersonal, leadership and communication/presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Business Administration or Certified Public Accountant (MBA/CPA) is highly desirable or equivalent work experience with an in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, cost accounting and healthcare reimbursement methodologies preferred.
  • Experience managing professional-level staff highly preferred.
  • Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reports financial performance monthly and annually for assigned facilities.
  • Directs and manages key processes including financial, management and cost reporting and analysis; general ledger, treasury, payroll, grants, and accounts payable departments.
  • Ensure short term cashflow projections are reviewed and evaluated by key stakeholders on a regular basis. Identify opportunities to improve cash management and forecasting.
  • Adherence to company financial policies and internal controls, regulatory compliance, and generally accepted accounting principles. Develops and implements financial policies and/or procedures as needed.
  • Directs personnel actions including recruiting, new hire actions, interviewing and selection of new staff, salary determinations, training, and personnel evaluations. Provides on-going financial education opportunities for staff, department managers and administration, as necessary.
  • Leads teams and models behaviors to improve processes, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Works with department managers and other department personnel to identify financial improvement opportunities through monthly budget variance analysis, studying trended data, comparing benchmark information and reviewing productivity data.
  • Responsible for ensuring annual audits are completed timely. Resolving any identified audit issues and ensuring an unqualified audit report. Also responsible for complete and timely submission of annual tax (990) return.
