About The Position

Finance Purchasing Coordinator The Finance Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for assisting with various duties between Finance (Accounts Payable & General Cashiering) and Purchasing. Additional responsibilities include responding to vendor inquiries, processing invoices and payments, monitoring bank debits, and assisting with various other duties. Supports the Finance department with preparing balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, month end closing, and monthly inventory counts.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as Accountant in a Hospitality/Residential environment
  • Understanding of Accounting principles, and competency in Opera and GFS
  • Two year college degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must have flexible schedule and be able to work various hours and days when needed
  • To maintain good working relations with colleagues and other departments
  • Must work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner
  • Conduct self in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of the Company
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must provide proof of current eligibility to be employed in the United States of America.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Check & respond to voicemails and emails
  • Assist Accounts Payable; distribute invoices for approval & coding, print/stuff/mail AP checks, setup vendors and wire payments, reconcile statements, etc.
  • Assist General Cashier; ensure notes and coins are fully stocked, extract deposits, balance banks and assist with over/shorts, etc.
  • Assist with purchasing and inventory processes using BirchStreet.
  • Support purchase order creation, processing, and tracking.
  • Assist with vendor setup, maintenance, and coordination in multiple systems.
  • Support beverage inventory and requisitions to outlets.
  • Assist F&B with pricing, recipes, and cost control efforts.
  • Coordinate ordering and supplies for banquet and event operations.
  • May help prepare some month end journal entries
  • Perform other various related tasks as requested by the Finance and Purchasing Leaders.
